Marshalltown Pottery Company

I have had a lifelong interest in the arts.   Beginning with my education in Marshalltown up through my current status as a secondary education art teacher at Marshalltown High School, my experience and appreciation for pottery has steadily increased.  I credit some of my former teachers, as well as my mother, for developing an appreciation and talent for ceramics and pottery. 

I received my formal education in art at the University of Northern Iowa, and Marshalltown Community College.   Since my graduation, I have taught art at various school systems in the state of Iowa, as well as at community colleges. 

I have made a habit of filling my summers over the last several years by showing and selling my work at various art fairs throughout Iowa and Minnesota.  I also have work on display at many gallerys as noted on this website elsewhere.    I am fortunate to have a  home studio that allows me to create the pieces you see on this site and at the shows.

I now make my home in Marshalltown along with my beautiful wife Lisa, and my three sons Jacob, Kenton, and Jamison.   Say hello to me the next time you stop by one of our shows!
